Every brand has a story.

At RED, it is our job to listen and connect with individual experiences shared by our clients, interpreting and helping them shape a bright future.

Our pro bono community work extends to Port Melbourne Soccer Club, established by Greek immigrants in 1968 and known as the Sharks.

This club has grown over the years, progressing through the lower leagues and into the National Premier League today. Teams have expanded and now consist of MiniRoos, Juniors, Seniors men’s and women’s teams.

Port Melbourne SC is committed to the development of football and developing players of the future with a number of players playing for Australia, Melbourne Victory as well as other A-League clubs.

Red Design Group were very excited to work with the Board of Directors to develop a new brand, representing an important milestone for the club on the eve of their 50 year celebrations.

To commemorate this event we thought it important to present the future while also acknowledging their heritage.

We proposed to revert back to the original colours of RED and BLUE, with backing stripes matching the size and spacing of the original brand logo developed during the establishment of the club.

Our contemporary shark is aimed at both children, men and women alike, symbolic of physical and mental agility.

Encapsulating all these elements is our shield, an acknowledgement to the Spartan Greek helmet, a rich history and known as a symbol of strength, loyalty, courage, and power.

Red Design Group believe that good brand design must touch both the heart and mind in order to become truly great.
