TradiesThe hues of local parkland enveloped by bays inspired Red Design Group’s fit out of the Sutherland District Trade Union Club’s opulent new lobby and Gymea Café.
A spectacular return on investment followed the integration of a new brand and lobby and café fit out for Tradies – 2000 new members joined in the two months following the opening and Anzac Day sign-ups soared to 180, up from five pre-renovation.
The design story of up-market coast by night for the lobby and coast by day for the café was created to appeal to the 45-year old plus matriarch of the family as the core customer. The linkage between the interior palette of the entertainment venue, fondly known as Tradies, and the local terrain cleverly references their proud tradition of support to the Gymea community since 1960.
