Uniqlo Vietnam

With a demonstrated track record in Australia, Uniqlo selected Red Design Group as their designers to implement their most strategic new stores in Vietnam.
Located in Ho Chi Minh City’s most iconic development, the Uniqlo store is now a strong anchor in the Vincom Centre below the famous Landmark 81 tower, and is split over 2 levels. Intricate interior design detailing was required to create the compelling customer experience for which this global retailer is renowned, across the 2,500 square metres of space.
Then in 2024, Uniqlo launched its most ambitious project in Vietnam, taking over the heritage listed Hanoi Tourist building in the prime Hoan Kiem lake area within the old Quarter of Hanoi. While Uniqlo is a modern retailer, they needed Red to achieve a balance between their contemporary fashion brand, the heritage of the building, and its historic location. Red leveraged the history of dedicated artisans and handy crafts trades that flourished in area in a bygone era, paying homage to the artisan skills of wood working, mother of pearl inlay, and painted glass which is part of the rich cultural history and mythology of the Hoan Kiem lake.
Since 2014 in Australia, Red has been a key partner of the Uniqlo international design team, and we now are honoured to support them in two countries within the Asia Pacific region.
