Roy Tavenor is a retail marketing visionary with nearly 50 years of experience spanning retail, brand strategy and design. Beginning his career with Unilever in South Africa before moving to Australia in 1994, Roy is known for his sharp insight, direct communication and passion for helping retailers navigate industry disruption. As co-founder of Red Design Group in 2002, he helped grow the business from a Melbourne start up into a leading retail strategy and design consultancy. His book Old Retail, New Retail: WTF? captures his practical, future focused perspective on why iconic brands struggle and what retailers need to thrive. An author, innovator and the driving force behind the newly launched BRANDR business and podcast, Roy continues to share the stories and foresight that define his career.

Rob Ovcaric is a founding principal of Red Design Group with over 35 years of experience in architecture, interior design and branded environments. Since co-founding Red in 2002, he has shaped the company’s creative culture, mentored its core team and led the delivery of commercially effective design across retail, hospitality and commercial sectors. Rob previously spent nine years at Myer in Store Development, and earlier worked with Godrey and Spowers Architects, Design Helix and other Architectural Practices while running his own design and construction practice. His technical strength and strategic design leadership have made him a cornerstone of Red’s long-term success. Rob holds an Interior Design Qualification from RMIT and is a Registered Building Practitioner (Building Designer) with the Victorian Building Authority with Mutual Recognition around Australia.

Darren Hose is a founding director of Red Design Group and director of RCX, the company’s digital innovation division. With a multidisciplinary background in architecture, branding, experience design and digital strategy, Darren has spent more than two decades helping organisations build connected and future-ready brand ecosystems. As a co-founder of Red in 2002, he played a key role in integrating physical and digital experience design well before it became mainstream. At RCX, he leads teams creating immersive digital content, applications and connected platforms. His earlier career includes major roles at The Buchan Group and Myer, and he holds an MBA and multiple design qualifications from RMIT.

Carli Dunchue is Chief Marketing Officer at Red Design Group, with a career spanning design, branding and business development across Australia and the US. Before joining Red, she held roles in retail design and customer experience at Brickworks, leading end to end delivery of the Brickworks Design Centres and Studios, from budget and build through to post launch operations. Her approach extends beyond marketing alone, applying whole of business thinking to align creative direction with commercial strategy. Carli's focus remains on building customer loyalty, driving revenue and creating spaces people genuinely remember.

Rhys Mullarvey is a director at Red Design Group and a key driver of the company’s international expansion, particularly across Southeast Asia. As Director of RxD Global and CEO of Red Vietnam, he leads high performance teams delivering rapid, scalable and technically robust design solutions for global retailers, architects and commercial brands. Rhys oversees teams specialising in reality capture, BIM modelling, 3D visualisation and advanced documentation workflows, positioning RxD Global as a critical production hub for Red’s international operations. His technical capability, speed and leadership continue to elevate the quality and innovation of Red’s global design delivery.

Aaron Chen is Creative Director at Red Design Group, leading the creative direction of hospitality, retail and branded environment projects. Known for his ability to bring atmosphere, storytelling and commercial clarity together, Aaron plays a key role in shaping design outcomes that elevate customer experience while supporting strong business performance. At Red, Aaron helps nurture a dynamic and highly creative design team, guiding projects from early concept through to fully realised environments. His leadership bridges creative ambition with practical delivery, ensuring each project achieves a balance between memorable brand experience, design quality and commercial success.

Dexter Dionisio is a Senior Documentation Manager at Red with over 25 years of experience in architecture and interior design across hospitality, high end hotels and retail developments in Europe, the UAE and Australia. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and has worked across all phases of project delivery, from concept to construction. Since joining Red in 2016, he has led the adoption of technologies including BIM360, RCX 360 and Scan-to-BIM, transforming the studio's documentation workflows. Known for his technical precision and strong client relationships, Dexter's steady, positive approach has made him a trusted presence both in the office and on site.
