Anglers Tavern

The Anglers Hotel, perched on a bend of the Maribyrnong River is a local iconic venue to the community of the North West Melbourne. Red collaborated with Australian Venue Co. to bring the local iconic venue back to life after it succumbed to the floods in Oct 2022.

The venue is now proudly open once again hosting the local community. The extensive use of differing varieties of timber and clay materials and finishes to the interior design was inspired by the local flora of the lush natural environment along the river.

In addition, the Red collaborated with international consultants to provide a flood barrier solution which can be erected quickly should the river once again become restless and threaten the venue.
